3.0.x Sandbox needed
January 26, 2010, 01:42:30 am
Hello,
I just upgraded from 3.0.2. to 3.0.4. and now I have several problems.
It would be nice if the 3.0 demo site would be available so to check whether the problems are in core or my own install.
Thanx, Joop

Yeah, we dropped the ball a bit by upgrading demo too early.

Are these problems that didn’t happen in 3.0.2? Are they also gone in 3.1.beta6 (on demo)?

Can you write briefly what’s the nature of these problems? Are they CiviMail related (we’re tracking a problem with mailings breaking on the 3.0.3 → 3.0.4 upgrade) or in some other parts of CiviCRM?

Javascript breaking-up on certain browsers,
Cannot print mailing labels,
Cannot sort result-columns by clicking on the column header (might be JS-related)
But I have quite some customation on my installation, so it's always to compare things with the demo-site.
(But of-course I can also check things on my local test install)

hey joop:

our policy is to maintain and support one version only. Since 3.1 is live (after a fairly long alpha/beta release cycle) we'd like to focus our efforts on supporting it

managing multiple versions is just not feasible for our small team. It also means having to maintain 3 different demo installs for the older versions etc. There has been talk in the past about "community members" being the primary maintainers and supporters of the prior release (in this case 3.0). It did not make a lot of progress, but we'd be happy to help some folks in the community be the primary maintainers of older releases

We do understand that upgrading is not necessarily as easy option, but at this time i'm not sure if we have any good solutions for this quandary
