Can you use relative paths in Drupal?
September 19, 2007, 02:28:47 pm
I have set up a contribution page (CiviCRM 1.8.10954) and I see the following:

Create links to this contribution page by copying and pasting the following URL into any web page.:
http://mysite.com/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=1

While I have found that this works, it seems to require the full external URL.  If I put a relative URL into a Drupal field that accepts a URL, for example, the redirect URL for a Webform or path for a menu, such as

civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=1

then I get an error message when I try to go to this page.  I can put the relative URL on a page of the site, such as

<a href="/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=1">Go to the contribution page</a>

and this works.

I want to do this so that I can move my site from my test PC to my production site and won't have to fix a bunch of links and variables.  (I already have to fix some, such as civicrm.settings.php and Global Settings > Resource URLs.)

Is there a way to use a relative URL in a Drupal field?
