3.0 > 3.1 warning Crypt.php on line 47

Hi, got the following error when going from 3.0 to 3.1

Warning: mcrypt_generic() [function.mcrypt-generic]: An empty string was passed in /home/bertie/public_html/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Utils/Crypt.php on line 47

As far as I can see everything is working fine.

Running on Joomla 1.5.10.

this should be fixed for 3.1.1

yep we hit the same one going from 2.2.8 to 3.1 beta 6 from memory. Will try some 3.1 release version.

And btw great work by the civicrm team for getting 3.1 out of the door. Really enjoying getting clients on to the 3.x series.

Cool. I figured that it isn't anything too major.

Massive thanks to Lobo and the team for getting this release out. Love the new dashboard feature!

Same problem exists for 3.1.1 on windows servers.  For a possible fix see my post at:

Running on Joomla 1.5.10.

I'm getting the same problem with 3.1.2 running on a linux host.  If I define the CIVICRM_SITE_KEY in civicrm.settings.php, it kicks out the error.  It also causes about a 15 minute timeout when attempting to send emails to contacts or even access the outgoing mail server settings in the admin section.  It must be sitting there waiting for /dev/random to populate.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this on 3.1.2/linux?
