Event locations

Hey - I am new to the community and this is my first post so I hope I am not missing anything here.

I am wondering if there is any way to save locations. For example I only have a few locations that I host events at and I dont want to have to enter the address and all that jazz in every time.

Steve - First, welcome!

The locations are indeed saved (two 2 discrete tables in the DB - civicrm_location which is keyed to the Event + civicrm_address which is keyed to the location record). However, there is currently no user interface which would allow you to re-use a previously entered location. This has come up as a request - and there is an issue scheduled for the 2.1 release:

If this issue is critical for your organization - you might consider contributing resources/developer time to help get it done sooner.
