Change Standalone to not use OpenID
January 30, 2010, 10:03:46 pm
Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has been able to use the Standalone version without OpenID?
I appreciate the benefits of the CMS and understand that CiviCRM is great integrated with Drupal/Joomla and I've gone through the pros and cons.
Any thoughts?

we've not heard about any work done on standalone without openid. however there have been lots of requests for it, so a code contribution to do this would be great :)

i'm assuming you have a pretty good knowledge an understanding of php/mysql. if so, you might want to start reading up on http://civicrm.org/architecture and then figuring out what/how you want to replace the auth piece with

but, you can always use drupal/joomla based civicrm and ignore everything else but the user concept to give what u need

ping us on IRC if u r still keen on building a standalone version without openid
