New Member Registration/ Create Account

Joomla/ CiviCRM - Is it possible to achie that for any new member registrations (via a contributions page) to have these approved by the Administrator?  The self registration process is not ideal for keeping away not relevant registrations.

do you mean the joomla user created via that page? if so, thats not possible out of the box, but you might be able to hack CRM/Core/BAO/CMSUser.php, function createJoomlaUser
