CiviCRM 3.1 and Drupal nodes/CCK

With the new release of CiviCRM, is it possible to take Drupal content type data and add that data to a user/member record in CiviCRM?

I have a content type that I have authenticated users complete/post on a site running D6.  I'd like the data they enter into their form to show up in their CiviCRM profile.  Can this be done with the new version?

Wow!  Really.  Any other suggestions or workarounds?  Is this a feature that the community wants or needs for the future?  It seems like it could definitely be useful.

So there's no current methods of mapping CCK data to Custom data fields in CiviCRM?

you can use CCK hooks / civicrm api to xfer data between Drupal Content nodes and CiviCRM

I'm not sure how easy it would be to map a content node with CCK fields to CiviCRM fields. You'll need some sort of mapping to map a field etc. Would be great if you can experiment and see how to potentially do it. There are a few experimental modules include in the distribution (drupal/modules/civicrm_cck_*). you'll need to be familiar with both CCK and CiviCRM to use/improve those modules
