Author Topic: characters misinterpreted when creating From Email Address (Read 785 times)

Hi,

I have added a From Email Address (Administer > Civimail > From Email Addresses) however when I save the address the " < and > characters are appearing as HTML. eg I copied and pasted the example given in the help instructions and the label was saved as:

Code: [Select]

"Client Services" <clientservices@example.org>
Is this a setting I need to change or something in the code I need to edit? I couldn't find the table which stores this data but if someone can point me to the right place I can try editing directly in the database.

added: Sorry, forgot the specs. Using CiviCRM 3.1 on a new install with Joomla! 1.5.15, MySQL 5.0.67, PHP 5.2.12

Recently we did some security updates, so you might want to upgrade your install to latest CiviCRM release ( CiviCRM v3.1.1 )

Thanks Kiran, upgrading to 3.1.1 solved the issue.

And the upgrade process went very smoothly.
