Cannot get it installed
April 20, 2007, 02:44:06 pm
I started to upgrade civicrm to the newest version and had so many problems I decided to uninstall everything and start over.  I now cannot get it installed no matter what I do.  I went into the database and deleted the civicrm tables and all.  Nothing works.  I am on php 4 linux server and I uploaded all the files to the com_installer (because it would time out on me) and am trying to install through the directory.  This is the message I am getting when I try to install.

DB function failed with error number 2006
MySQL server has gone away SQL=INSERT INTO jos_components VALUES( '', 'CiviCRM', 'option=com_civicrm', 0, 0, 'option=com_civicrm', 'CiviCRM', 'com_civicrm', 0, 'js/ThemeOffice/component.png', 0, '' )
SQL =
INSERT INTO jos_components
 VALUES( '', 'CiviCRM', 'option=com_civicrm', 0, 0, 'option=com_civicrm', 'CiviCRM', 'com_civicrm', 0, 'js/ThemeOffice/component.png', 0, ''

What am I doing wrong?  Thanks
Cindy

Cindy:

I suspect you are either running out of memory and/or execution time. You'll need to adjust them and try again. You can find more details on fixing those values in the php manual
