No Emails sent from Civimail, but no errors either...
February 05, 2010, 11:14:49 am
The list of scheduled emails shows my new civimail mailing, but it never transitions from scheduled to Sent.
I get no errors from the "wget 'http://www.cityethics.org/civicrm/bin/civimail.cronjob.php" cron job, but nothing ever happens.

My TEST emails however, are successfully sent.

I need direction on how to get more debug information - any URLs welcome and I am very willing to read...

Thanks in advance.
Don

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/CiviMail+Installation#CiviMailInstallation-SettingUptheCronJob

your url is something like:

http://www.cityethics.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/bin/civimail.cronjob.php ...

depending on where u installed civicrm

Just to repeat, the cron job runs with NO errors.

Is there a debug flag that I can set somewhere so that it logs what is happening when the script runs ?
Because whatever it is doing, I get no output in any of my logs.

Thx.

First, I assume you did append you username, passoword and key to the URL, and that you do indeed have the proper URL.

If so, your best bet would be to hack the bin/civimail.cronjob.php file to see where it fails (and to confirm that it’s actually being executed).

(Note that you can send all of your scheduled mailing from your in-browser CiviCRM interface by visiting the …/civicrm/mailing/queue?reset=1 URL – just to make sure that they indeed do work; be warned, this will actually send all of the mailings which are past their start date.)

Well the problem seems to be with either the URL or the permissions - it is very confusing...

If I do the "…/civicrm/mailing/queue?reset=1" URL, it works, at least somewhat - I have about 140 contacts in the group that I scheduled to go out, and at least some of those have been sent out - it now shows the status as "Running" - but has been in that mode for too long now.

So now my question is: is there any default log for the emails sent out so that I can confirm that it did indeed send ALL of them ?
Or do I need to Refresh that URL to send the rest of them ?

I am worried about duplicate emails going out now  :-\

Thanks.

If it’s ‘Running’, then it sent a batch and awaits for another call (which will send another batch). You can check the mailing’s report to see who received this mailing.

Yes, to send another batch. In the CiviMail’s options you can specify how many are sent in each batch.

This shouldn’t happen; CiviMail tracks who was sent a given mailing already.
