Search using Birth Date
February 07, 2010, 04:24:32 am
I'm trying to use a profile to search for a individual using the Birth Date.  I get the follow error, even when a value is entered in the field:

Code: [Select]
No matches found for:
Birth Date =

Suggestions:
check your spelling
try a different spelling or use fewer letters
if you are searching within a Group or for Tagged contacts, try 'any group' or 'any tag'

This is occurring with a new install of 3.1.1.

Also is there any way to disable the jQuery picker and to enter the date directly?

Thanks in advance.

1. can you reproduce this on drupal.demo.civicrm.org and if so please file an issue

2. you can potentially disable the date picker by customizing the template

Thanks for the response.  I checked drupal.demo.civicrm.org and it is not working there either, so I opened an issue.

Do you know any reference for removing the date picker using a template?  Thanks.

If you remove date picker, it will be a free text box?

My users, for whatever reason, find the date picker particularly hateful and complain about it a lot. Rather than edit templates all over the place, I'm looking to implement a global option to turn it off.  What I (they) would prefer is a text box that validates using whatever date format has been selected for the overall installation.  If someone wants to give me a pointer where to start, I'll implement and post.
