Newbie question: adding custom data groups to profiles
February 08, 2010, 05:35:21 am
Hi at all,

isn't it possible to add custom data groups to profiles?

I want to add 3 different groups of additional questions to an online registration: Student information, Personal Data, X...
The problem is, i can just add 1 profile to an event registration form and this profile consists only of custom data fields ->
it's more an ordered list of questions but not grouped with title etc.

Any suggestion for me?  ;)

Thx
Fabian

To illustrate what I mean please see the attachement.

There's only one block that contains all fields. I just need multiple of these blocks!

You will have to customise the corresponding tpl - read up about putting these in your customised tpl folder.

A cheat's route is to use the 'field help' of the field that is the last in a 'cluster' and html some horizontal rules and headings so that it looks like the beginning of the next section - works fine in some cases until you figure that you need to change the order of your fields around.

hope that makes sense - scuse the brevity.
