Upgrade 3.0.4 -> 3.1.1 with Drupal
February 08, 2010, 08:37:46 am
Hey,
after upgrading, my installation has several issues I'm headbanging against.
1. the javascript-files calendar.js, etc. are missing under modules/civicrm/js
2. even after copying them back from the old 3.0.4 release, the date picker are still not working
3. the tabs in the form to manage the event settings are any more working
4. some bad errors occur after trying to register for an event: "DB Error: constraint violation Database Error Code: Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails"
The registration was working before without any errors :-(

Can anyone help? At least with 1-3?
kebap

1. we switched to a new jQuery date widget, the old ones are no longer needed

2. are u using the drupal date popup module. if so, try disabling it (for now)

3. use firebug to figure out whats happening and why

Also sounds like your 'Resource URLs' aren't set properly on the new site (since it seems like most  / all of the javascript related stuff is not working). Check Administer >> Global Settings >> Resource URLs - and as lobo mentioned use the 'Console' in firebug to see if javascript errors are being reported.

Hey,
thanks a lot for your help! My big mistake was sooo stupid! (feeling like a bloody beginner)
The result was to delete the contents of the templates_c folder  :-X
Then, together with the date popup module disabled, it worked - but now, since I am using this date popup thingy for some cck fields, I get problems there, so I had to reenable it. Isn't there any other better choice to solve the calendar popup problem?

point 4 I solved with deleting my custom data fields and the profile I created for an event, and the event itself. After doing this, everything works fine!

We're working on a fix for date pop-up conflict for 3.1.2. You can follow the issue here:
