Backing out of CiviCRM to plain Drupal...

If CiviCRM doesn't work out, how hard is it to just go back to normal Drupal? Deactivate the module, delete the 2nd DB, and what else?

yes, you just disable the module, then you can remove it and its db. then you also need to delete its subfolder within your drupal files directory.

This should be it. If a problem with CiviCRM brings down your Drupal in a way that doesn’t let you disable the module from the administer screens, you need to go to Drupal’s database’s ‘system’ table and set the ‘status’ column value to 0 for the relevant row (the one with ‘name’ of ‘civicrm’).

Deleting the CiviCRM files and its database completes the cleanup.
