Google Checkout and SSL
February 09, 2010, 11:54:44 am
Hi,

In order to use Google Checkout on my contribution page do I need to have an SSL cert for my site?

Thanks,
Jason

Hmm, The host I am using says they have a certificate that works if I point to my web site through their path, instead of http://www.mydomain.com I can user http://hostmachine.hostname.com/~myhosing account name.  Is it possible to use a different path for just this part?

Otherwise the certified providers lists the root certificates.  Do you know if the inexpensive certificates from Godaddy and others work?  I am pretty sure they use one on that list.

Oh, more reading and it sounds like I described a shared SSL situation which is no go.
