Add more fields to payement instruments?
February 12, 2010, 12:35:51 am
Hi all,
I'm facing problems in civicontribute. Actually, when I add a new contribution and I choose a check as payment method , I only have to fill the check number field and the Transaction ID. However, i want to add a bank name relative to the check information? How can i do this? I don't want to use the custom data because, it is just a field relative to the check not the hole civicontribution. Any ideas?

Thanks in adavace

Can't you use Note field for this?

My recommendation would be to use Note field. But if you still want to add separate field, you should use custom field of type "Contribution"

Then using custom template, add javascript to hide it and only show it when you select "Check" as payment instrument. This is not a straight forward solution but very much doable.
