Reporting Additional Fields - Member Reports
February 12, 2010, 11:44:58 am
Hello,

Hope everyone is wrapped up during this warming period.

What is the least invasive and/or labor-intensive way to modify the default Member "Detail" reports (or all default detail reports for that matter) to allow selection in the "Report Criteria" section of any or all possible record fields, or at the very least, all possible fields apart from any custom groups?

I bring this up, even though there is documentation already available on report editing and creation.  The purpose being that (in my mind anyway), report criteria should be selected from all the possibly available options.  In addition, and for our purposes, the exclusions from the Report Criteria section seem quite odd: no phone, no company name for instance.  This is a subjective view of course, and should be evaluated in that context.

Any meaningful chiming in of any sort is encouraged and desired.  Thank you in advance.

Very best,

-Joe

In case you have not seen this wiki page:

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/CiviReport+structure+and+customization

For now, u'll need to go in and use an exisiting report to create a new report. If you do so, please publish your changes so others can benefit from the improvements
