Hi, I'm researching CiviCRM for my nonprofit and I can't find any information about the functionality to apply a contribution from one user to another user's pledge. We often have donors make a pledge that will be paid by another organization or person, and we need to create a relationship between the pledge on one contact's record to the payment on another contact's record. Has anyone developed a way to do this?

A few related features - might work for you (altho not quite what you've described).

- You can enable 'contribute on behalf of an organization' for online contribution pages. Contribution is recorded against the organization. Individual is assigned a 'permissioned' employee relationship with the organization.

- You can record a Soft Credit for contributions - i.e. Person A was responsible for bringing in person b who actually made the contribution (soft credit to person b).
