Search Builder & multi-select
September 25, 2007, 06:53:28 am
My smart groups are made based on multi-select fields. I have been trying it in the last 2 weeks without success. If there is only one choice the Search Builder gives back the good results, but if there are more than one options, there is nobody on the list.
I am using Drupal 5.1 and Civicrm 1.79. I have read through the posts and see that this simple function is working for people. I found the same result with the 1.8 version locally.
This is a final step I would finish quite a big work with a recruitment company. I would appriciate any help.

Are you able to do the search(es) you need using Advanced Search instead of Search Builder?

If that doesn't solve your problem - you'll need to recreate the issue on our demo site and post a detailed description of the setup, erroneous result and expected result to our issue tracker.

You may also need to think about other ways to solve this in the short term (or consider working on a fix yourself) - as we are not planning on addressing Search Builder issues until the 2.1 release when we do a major overhaul of the search architecture.

Many thanks for your reply!  I made the test on the demo site and found I made a beginners' mistake: did not selected the critical fields to be searchable. After having done that, they appear in the CustomData box under the Advanced Search and I can make my groups.
Many thanks again.
