Search for Activity Location

Neither the standard Advanced Search nor the custom Activity search let you search the Activity Location field.  Is there a way to add that through the administration console?

Or do we have to create a new "Custom Search Component" as described here below:

u might want to modify the custom activity search and then file an issue along with the patch. this will allow us to include activity location search in core
