Add a newly created activity to existing case
February 15, 2010, 05:53:09 am
Hi,

is it possible to add an activity that I just created to an existing case - assuming of course that this activity is in the .xml for that type of case?

So if I have an activity "Upgrade website" and a case "client running civicrm 1.9" of type webhosting, then I would just like to "Create new activity" -> "Upgrade website" and associate it with this case. Would be a nice feature for civicase.

Marc - Currently (3.0 / 3.1) you can do this from the Manage Case screen for any existing case. There's a 'New Activity' drop-down.

In 3.2, you'll also be able to create an Activity outside of a Case - and then later decide to 'file it to a case'.

Thanks Dave,

what civi3.2 will do is what I was looking for. Good to know I won't have to wait long!
