Profile from Standalone not working in Joomla Web site
February 15, 2010, 07:55:07 am
I am working with CiviCRM Standalone ver 3.1.1 I have created a contact form using Profile. I take the link
http://admin.marylebone.org/civicrm/standalone/index.php?q=civicrm/profile/create&gid=1&reset=1
and make this a menu item in a Joomla web site.
I then use the link and the profile form comes up. I enter the details in the form and press submit. I then get the following message

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

The requested Profile (gid=1) is disabled OR it is not configured to be used for 'Profile' listings in its Settings OR there is no Profile with that ID OR you do not have permission to access this profile. Please contact the site administrator if you need assistance.

What is strange is if I then go back into CiviCRM, the data I have entered is in CiviCRM data base?

In the Profile options I have Ticked the boxes Used for 'Profile' and 'Search Results'
in the advanced settings
I have set 'Limit listings to a specific Group?' to Administrators only.

Does anyone have ideas? I have seen a number of posts in respect to the error message, but none seem to reflect my situation. Any help would be appreciated.

David

What's the URL in the browser when you get that error. I suspect you're being redirected to q=civicrm/profile/view .... after submitting the form, and that your standalone site permissions don't have 'profile view' access enabled for anonymous users.

Dave, Thanks for your suggestions
I changed the ACL for 'Everyone' to allow access all aspects of profile
profile create, profile edit,  profile listings,   profile listings and  profile view
But still have same problem.

The URL I am redirected to is
http://admin.marylebone.org/civicrm/standalone/index.php?q=civicrm/profile/create

In the advanced settings of the profile.
Limit listings to a specific Group? is not set
Add new contacts to a Group? is set to Contacts
Notify when profile form is submitted? is set to my email address, but it never comes through
Redirect URL and  Cancel Redirect URL are set to null

Any ideas?

That url is missing a profile id (gid=1) - so the error makes sense. Not sure why you're redirected their after saving - usual behavior is to redirect to profile/view. You might try setting a Redirect URL to a valid CMS page and see if that helps. Haven't played much w/ profiles in standalone tho...
