Search on Participant Custom Fields shows now results
February 16, 2010, 10:47:50 am
I have set up a number custom fields and profiles.  If I search (advanced search) on custom contact fields, results return fine.  If I search on participant fields, I get no results.  This is the same if I do "find participant.'

however, I know the data is in the fields b/c the one search that does work is "Full Text Search"/Search Builder.

I am wondering if something is missing in the data that actually links tables.  At this point, I can't start over, too much data and too many profiles.  Any idea what might be missing or what I can look for in order to fix this?

Sorry...on civi 3.1.1.

Followed these steps:

1. I created custom data of type "Participant" (Alphanumeric - Text) Searchable
2. Added participant record and also enter value for custom field.
3. Find Participant using custom field - working fine.
4. Advanced Search >> Event pane, search using custom field - working fine.

So not able to replicate. If possible can try to replicate this on http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org

I tried this on the demo, it worked fine.  And I know that my data exists b/c if I do the more complicated search, the data shows up.  My question is, could there be something wrong in my database itself that would prevent a profile from working properly?  I am mystified at how this function stopped working, but it is a major problem for my client.  I am not at all sure how to even test that it works correctly.  I don't know what table to look for, I need diagnostic help b/c I have done most of what I can think of, to no avail.

anything?
