Different fields in contact view and contact edit
February 19, 2010, 12:58:46 am
If I view a particular contact in the back end it shows their address as:

housename/number
village
town, postcode
United Kingdom

but when I click on edit the address fields I can edit are:

Street Address (village)
town, etc
i.e. no housename

So why aren't the fields I view on the summary screen and the fields I can then edit when I press edit the same?

The data will have come from a membership sign up and associated profile, but presumably that's irrelevant because it shows in the initial view so its the disparity between the view and the edit-view that matters.

(or am I missing something here?)

you might want to check contact edit screen address elements after enabling 'Address Name' field.

go to : Administer CiviCRM -> Global Settings -> Address Settings -> check for 'Address Name' from 'Address Editing' section and enable it.
related demo url is : http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/setting/preferences/address?reset=1
