I think the help text for "Does this Custom Data Group allow multiple records?" should have some 'caution notes' eg - multiple fields are not currently able to be utilised in Profiles and are not available for xyz Search types ;-)

Peter - good suggestion. I've added the following to the help for the 3.1.3 release:

    {ts}CAUTION: The following features are NOT available for custom fields in 'multiple record' custom groups:{/ts}
        <ul>
            <li>{ts}These fields can not be used in Profiles{/ts}</li>
            <li>{ts}They can not be Exported{/ts}</li>
            <li>{ts}If they are included in a report as a display column, only the first set of values are shown.{/ts}</li>
        </ul>
    </p>
