Two questions, renewal notice and grace period
February 23, 2010, 11:23:03 pm
Hi,

I have two questions and I am not exactly sure if this is the right place.

First is there a way to test the renewal notices?  I would like to see what the message looks like and if it's pulling all the right info before I go mailing a few hundred people.

Second question is on grace period.  I have an annual rolling membership that most of members use.  We used to be calendar year so I have a large amount that expire on Dec 31.  It appears that if one of these people renews after thei expiration date it resets it to the date their payment is updated by me.  Is that supposed to work that way?   I would like to have the date remain the same for about 45 days on either side.

thanks,
Jason

You should signup for Membership and test renewal notices. I don't think there is any other way to test renewal emails.

I think when payment is made, date is automatically set for contribution record. I think you will have to manually change it if you need to.
