Can't Edit Event

I've created an event and have been receiving registrations in CiviEvent with Joomla 1.5.x
I need to edit the description text, but when I do, and hit the save button, it appears to save, but the text is unchanged. I'm guessing there's some kind of permissions error here, but I don't know where to look.
This action does not produce an error message. It just restores the original description as if I had done nothing.

UPDATE: I still don't know what the right way to do this is, however, I logged into PHPMyAdmin and edited the civicrm_event table row for this event. It worked. There must be some less geeky way.

My guess is that you are changing the description in the "Info and Settings" tab, clicking on the other tabs and then saving. If that is the case, you might want to save the changes (hit "Save") in each of the tabs before moving on to the other tabs.

Thanks for your help, Yashodha. I'm using CiviCRM 3.1.1, and I didn't change information on any other tabs, just the description, and then I saved.

SOLVED: Can't Edit Event

This issue, and several others that were preventing me from updating contacts, or installing dashlets on the dashboard were all resolves, thanks to heroic efforts by a CiviCRM genius, by updating the baseurl of my install in both /components/com_civicrm/civicrm.settings.php and in /administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm.settings.php

All I had to do was add www to the baseurl.
