I've been playing around with the CiviCRM demo, and I must say I'm very impressed. However, due to the very specific nature of our NGO's work, I am not quite sure if CiviCRM will suit all of our needs. Firstly, the donations we deal with are mostly non-monetary (and so far I haven't been able to find a way to add those to Contributions). Secondly and most importantly, we do not physically take any of the gifts-in-kind offered, but rather provide a match-making service, helping the donor find an organisation that needs the specified donation. Therefore, we need to keep the following information:

• what kind of goods or services was offered, including quantity; (where applicable)
• referral source;
• type of donor: corporate or individual;
• what suggestions we made with regard to the donor's query, i.e. where we redirected them to;
• the outcome, i.e. whether they managed to find a match and who received the donation.

This list is not exhaustive, as we would need to add a few more fields to this. This information should be present in the individual's/company's profile; also, often we will need to link multiple donations to the same individual/company, as you can do with monetary donations.

Will we be able to do all this in CiviCRM? I'm really hoping that the answer is 'yes', as so far it seems to be a good match for our requirements  

P.S. Am I right in thinking that while the default currency cannot be set up in the demo version, the full version does give you that option?
