Adding users standalone version

I have been struggling for days now to find a way how to add other users. So far it is only possible to log in as administrator.
Originally I thought this might be related to problems with the open ID but then it turned out that I only had to give a user the administrator status, and then he finally could log in.

So I assume it has something to do with Access Control Lists, but I can't find out where the problem lies.

Can anybody help me? It would be very much appreciated, since for me it is really crucial to be able to add other users as well! Thank you very much in advance!

You might want to consider using Drupal + CiviCRM rather than the standalone version. You get the acl permissions with Drupal also.

The organization that was sponsoring/supporting the standalone version is no longer doing so. Hence a migration is encouraged. We'll blog about this soon
