CiviContribute questions

Hi - here is my next set of questions re: CiviContribute :)

Q. Can you still record a donation even if you don't have any information on who made the donation? (anonymous donations)

Q. Does it allow you to enter/display amounts on the screen and in a report in more than one currency, e.g. in a local currency and then converting it to Euro?

Q. Does it have the ability to cater for different donation frequencies, i.e. regular vs one-off?

Q. If it can cater for regular donation does it record pending regular donations due to be made?

Q. Where in CiviCRM can I setup and record a fundraising project's details (e.g. field information:    Project Code, Name, Target, Audience, Segment, Channels used, Owner, Mail or Event date, Date project generated) so that results can be reported on for that project only and not where an online page to process donations etc. is required?

Q. Can you link a project to other projects?  For example, can you link different fundraising appeals to an overall fundraising project?  For example, Project is called Foundation 123 and four different appeals are done each year.

Q. Can you report on an overall project based on its link to sub-projects/appeals etc.?

Hi,

i'm a newbie, so i don't know answers to most of your questions, but here's what i understand so far:

question 1. Civi requires a user to input at least his/her email when making a donation. Don't anonymous donations usually have *some* contact info associated with it (such as a foundation that makes the donation on the anonymous person's behalf, etc.).

question 3. Yes, in Administer > CiviContribute > Amounts, check the box next to "Recurring Contributions." You can allow a donor to select the frequency by day, month, year.

sorry that's about all i can help with for now!

Hello Fiona,

I'll try to help where I can:

Question 2: I believe that there is a way, but it would involve some coding.

Question 4: Yes it does. You would select Search--> Find Contributions. on the right side you'll see A series of check boxes that allow you to choose the contribution's status, select pending. When you select search, you'll get a list of pending contributions.

Question 5: Reports--> Event income report (Detail). Then select the event you are wondering about, and you'll find the  info you are looking for.

Question 6: Yes, using Contribution Pages, or Personal Campaign Pages.

Hope this Helps.

Cheers,
Jason
