OpenID login failure to standalone
March 01, 2010, 07:37:16 am
Hi all,

I'm using standalone v3.1 on my laptop (with Wamp)

On Friday, all was working fine. Today, I can't get logged in when using OpenID. The following error message is displayed.

"You are not allowed to login. Login failed. Contact your Administrator."

I have seen other posts on this topic and it seems to be a recurring problem with no definitive solution.

civicrm.settings.php is present in the standalone directory and line 80 (when opened in Dreamweaver) states

define( 'CIVICRM_DSN'          , 'mysql://XXXX:MYOPENIDUSERNAME@localhost/civicrm?new_link=true' );

Can anyone walk me through the problem?

Thanks!

Kurund Jalmi

Hi Kurund, thanks for the signposting but still no joy. I did a fresh install, all worked well and even got logged in using openid. But that was yesterday and today's another day...when I login now my browser is displaying the error message which begins
"begin($openid); // No auth request means we can't begin OpenID." which I believe is from the try_auth.php
I've attached a text file of the error message.

10 mins later, I try again and when I login, the page redirects me to the openid website and I sign in there (as prompted) and then it kicks me back to the localhost login page - I'm hopeful at this point....but then the page displays "Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred. You do not have permission to access this page. Return to home page"

So that's 3 different behaviours in 24 hours when I'm doing exactly the same thing! It's proving difficult to pin down the problem. Any thoughts?
