Hello!

I'm using the map contacts option to generate a "participant map." Unfortunately, the map contacts is spitting out complete addresses and marking them as "home." It would be much better to just include city, state, country. How do I do this? I've made all the address fields "user and admin only" in all the profiles. The map contact feature seems to override the settings.

Jen,

Can you update your forum profile. We have removed location type 'home' from event map.

Hi,

I'm a little confused. Forum profile? You mean my civicrm.org forum profile? I was actually referring to an installation of Drupal/Civicrm - there is an option to "map contacts" via the manage group interface - the output of that option is where I need to remove the "Home" and limit addresses to city and state.

My apologies for not being more specific.

You can do it using custom templates: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Customizing+CiviCRM+Screens

And then remove unwanted fields from Google.tpl or Yahoo.tpl
