Hi,

Is it possible to attach a picture to a contact?

We are looking to manage 350+ boat owners for a Volunteer Marine Rescue organisation and having a picture of the member's boat would assist in an emergency situation etc.

You can do this in the current stable version by adding a custom field  - type=file - to the contact record (via admin UI). The next release (3.2 - out in May or so), will include a built-in field for 'Contact Image' :

What about on older versions of Civi, like 2.2? It is possible and how do you set this up? Thanks!

Pretty sure 2.2 supports custom fields of type=file. So that approach should work.
