A question and a suggestion regarding CSS and JS concatenation
March 03, 2010, 05:39:46 am
I found http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-3017 that lets CiviCRM use drupal_add_css and drupal_add_js but on a site where I turned on Drupal JS and CSS optimization I still get tons of <script type="text/javascript" src="/sitese/all/modules/civicrm/packages/jquery/*"> inclusions.  Is there a setting somewhere else that I have to change?

Drupal's CSS optimization is turned off at civicrm.org. That leads to longer load times than needed.  My suggestion is to turn it on at http://civicrm.org/admin/settings/performance (:

This work was actually just completed for 3.1.3:
http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-5878

... the issue you referenced was marked 'Won't fix'. I added link to the issue where we did the implementation.

Re: civcirm.org ... Just checked http://civicrm.org/admin/settings/performance and Optimize CSS + Jscript are both enabled now (not sure if someone jumped in a did it before I checked).

does not work on civicrm.org just yet, since we need to upgrade it to 3.1.3 (its on 3.1.1)
