Error message: You do not have permission to execute this url.
March 03, 2010, 07:20:58 am
I am getting this error message every time I try and enter a new contact from the front end of my Joomla 1.5.15 system, with CiviCRM 3.1.3, PHP Version 5.2.11, Apache 2.23, MySql 5.0.77.

I have a menu currently set up to add a new entry. Adding an entry with duplicate data results in a correct and readable response that the entry already exists (although I wish it stated specifically which fields were "duplicate") (I know it's the email, but users won't know that).

Anyway, if I enter all good values to create a new user, it just results in the message "You do not have permission to execute this url."
URL: http://www.ahymsin.org/main/index.php/component/option,com_civicrm/gid,4/id,8073/lang,en/reset,1/task,civicrm/profile/view/

What is really weird is that when I choose a different MENU option to search for a contact, I get
Code: [Select]
New Individual
status Thank you. Your information has been saved.

status  No fields in this Profile have been configured as searchable. Ask the site administrator to check the Profile setup.

The "search" url being generated from the menu is:
http://www.ahymsin.org/main/index.php/component/option,com_civicrm/Itemid,143/layout,search/view,Profiles/

I've searched and read every other mention of this message back through 2008, but they don't seem to indicate why this message is coming up.

Also, I cannot find any civiCrm logs with today's date anywhere.

I don't understand what is happening, either with the result of the entry (1st resulting URL) OR with the menu selection for search returning the results of the data entry, and NOT a search dialog. The "Search" menu item points to "index.php?option=com_civicrm&view=Profiles&layout=search" and is configured for a "new individual".

There is some problem in above url. I think instead of '&' url has ','

OK, perhaps there is a setting somewhere in CiviCRM that is used to generate this URL?

In any case, this is being generated by Joomla + CiviCRM. It's not something that I control directly.

All I did was create a menu on the front end, and enter the data. Please also note the "strange" resulting behavior when I selected a "second" menu option. I'm fairly confident that my menus are set up correctly. I went through the CiviCrm menu types and set up all the parameters as requested, etc.

One item to note is that all the front end menus are restricted to "special" (manager and above) access, in case that specific circumstance might be important. I was signed in as site administrator (to the front end), so I had super-admin privileges.

Thanks

Stephan

If I had to guess, it might be some setting in joomla, it is not related to CiviCRM.

OK, I think I understand what is causing it, but I don't know why. I have SH404SEO installed, which normally generates SEO friendly links. I turned it off for CiviCRM. While that DOES fix the comma versus '&' item, I have another issue.

It says:
Code: [Select]
No fields in this Profile have been configured as searchable. Ask the site administrator to check the Profile setup.
Frankly, I haven't been able to figure this item out either (I've been seeing it for a while on other menus). I understand what it says, but I don't see a way to mark the email address as searchable. I have "New Individual" selected as the profile, as I only want to search on those fields.

Try reading up on it here- you want to be focussing on the sharing information part - about half way down

When I follow the example to create a new profile, it does not have the same "Used For" options as the manual. It only has "Profile" and "Search Results", not "User Registration", nor "View/Edit User Account".

I am trying out the sample now.

One thing that I notice is that the sample uses "Public Pages" which I did not use. Would that cause all fields to be non-searchable if I had "User and User Admin only"?

I think the missing account create options might be because you are using Joomla at a guess. It is a little less tightly integrated.

The option to make a field a search field doesn't show unless you have (at least) public pages enabled
