if i'm not mistaken i think it was v1.9

however we'd strongly recommend that you dont even think about installing that version :) CiviCRM has grown significantly and improved by leaps and bounds since that version (and it is not supported either)

will help you a lot if you upgrade

Unfortunately my host does not offer a more recent version of php. And my site cannot be moved, as I dont own it and the CRM project is not big enough to justify switching hosts.
Is there somewhere I can download 1.9? can't find a link to it.

Ive had 2 failed civiCRM installation attempts so far.

first was trying to install locally on xampp which failed due to it being php5.3

then tried to install on the remote server which failed because it is 4.4.9

So I guess I need to be just the precise amount of out-of-date to use the current version, or find a version that is more out of date.

I guess I shouldnt complain about something that is free. but if you can't be current perhaps you could be backward compatible?

yes, complaining does not take you very far in open source :P

we hope to make CiviCRM v3.2 compatible with PHP 5.3.
