Update Directory Path and URL requires site name
March 03, 2010, 03:19:24 pm
The Update Directory Path and URL page won't let you save because it requires a "new site name" -- a multi-site element which doesn't appear if you're not doing multi-site (or at least doesn't appear in Joomla).

Reproducible on the demo: http://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/administrator/index2.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/admin/setting/updateConfigBackend&reset=1

I'm running a CiviCRM 3.1.3 installation on Joomla 1.5.15 and was trying to migrate the site to a new folder on the same server.  I ran into this same issue, put the changes across in UpdateConfigBackend.php as described at http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-5910 and it crashed out the CiviCRM component.  It was reproducible on the demo site (don't know if the fix has been applied over there) as well.

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,
Dennis

yeah, not sure that fix will address the full scenario.

try just commenting out:
Code: [Select]
$this->add( 'text', 'newSiteName', ts( 'New Site Name' ), null, true );
as a temporary workaround

Thanks for the suggestion, lcdweb.  I tried commenting out that portion and it still produced the same results as before (except this time there were more menu options available under the main CiviCRM page).  I'd be happy to test any other fixes on my beta site, just let me know.

Thanks all!
Dennis

FWIW -- if you're still having problems with this, the new revision released today (3.1.4) handles this page correctly.
