Possible to insert images into contacts' profiles?

I would like to be able to have an image appear in some of my contacts' profiles.  Is this possible?  If so, how?

This will be a built-in feature for the next release (3.2). For current and earlier versions, you'll need to do it as a custom field.

Is there a possibility to link a Drupal User profile's image to their CiviCRM profile?

you should be able to do this via civicrm hooks. for the profile view page, you can inject the drupal profile image via the pageRun hook
