Cannot update directory path on Joomla
March 05, 2010, 12:01:12 am
I tried to update the directory path on Joomla.

It gives this failure message:
Code: [Select]
Please correct the following errors in the form fields below:

    * New Site Name is a required field.

However, there isn't a "New Site Name" field available on the page to enter. There are only two fields, "New base directory" and "New base URL".

Second: Should the "New base URL" for Joomla include the "/administrator" portion or not?  It fills that in as the default, but it seems to me that a "base URL" means only the base, not the "administrator" subfolder.

It had three folders: 1) ConfigAnLog, 2) en_US, and 3) en_GB

Hope you meant to delete them all!  :o

Could you explain why the Admin "Update Directory Path and URL" screen only has two fields (for Joomla at least), yet the error message says that I needed to set a third field?

I have deleted all files under the media/civicrm/templates_c directory and retried. I get the same error message.

This seems to be an issue for joomla. Check: http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-5910

Thanks,

Thanks.

When I click the link, I get an error message saying that the issue does not exist.

New Site Name issue when moving site to a new directory on same server.
May 18, 2010, 05:12:54 pm
Hi, I followed the instructions as documented here at http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Moving+an+Existing+Installation+to+a+New+Server+or+Location for my new site http://artoutlet.org.

When accessing http://artoutlet.org//administrator/index2.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/admin/setting/updateConfigBackend&reset=1
I also get New Site Name is a required field.

Any ideas for me how to fix this issue?

Regards, Henrik

For me, this was fixed by upgrading to 3.1.4

You didn't mention the version of CiviCRM that you are using.

You are right. I am behind one version.

Shoot, I am at 3.1.3. Thanks for pointing that out, tabletguy!

Will update momentarily...
