Access Denied to the dashlet dashboard
March 05, 2010, 11:22:05 am
So I am very much new to CiviCRM and drupal, but starting to get into it.  One issue that I have and cant find anything online about is permission denied to one particular page, i.e. the dashlet dashboard.

I am able to login to drupal.  When I hit the Civicrm link the activity dashboard comes up with access denied.  I am able to use the title bar to go through the civicrm items.  The dashboard wants me to login again but here is the catch any data entered for a user name/password will pull up the dashboard.  I have attached a screenshot.

Any help is appreciated.

Perk

Did you try "Refresh Dashboard Data" button?

Yes, that doesnt do anything.

And if I enter my login information into the dashlet it will show the dashboard.  But if I enter dirty login information it also shows the dashboard.... :(

You mean show dashboard inside dashlet?

May be you should jump #civicrm irc channel ( http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#civicrm )

What do you mean jump channel?  I am not familiar with that.

It seems like the current drupal logged in user should be able to 'be logged in' when the dashboard is opened up once the civicrm link is clicked.

Are you trying to access CiviCRM Home by anonymous user? It might not work and I won't recommend giving CiviCRM access to anonymous user.

Thanks to Kurund this issue is resolved.

Needed to fix base url in the civicrm.settings.php file, and the Base Directory Path and Base URL settings in civicrm, and finished with a menu rebuild.  Access denied error is gone.

thanks alot!
