Event registration has stopped working

I have an event with registration through invitation only.  I've been importing the participants, and sending them an email asking them to come back and fill in a form with contact info, etc. and it's worked for about thirty people from various places, but suddenly (with no changes to Drupal, CiviCRM or the hosting environment) it's giving them the home page (asking them to login) rather than their event record for editing.

Is there anything I could have done accidentally to cause this behaviour?

You'll need to provide more info about the method you're using here / what URL you're sending to participants etc.
