Solved: After ugrading to 3.1.3
March 09, 2010, 01:32:00 pm
Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: Permission denied in /home/aaca/aaca-boston.org/site/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Utils/File.php  on line 116

The data seems to be intact and I can access the various components in CiviCRM, except I have that error above repeated many times.

Even using profiles on Joomla web frontpage displays this.

make sure media/civicrm/ and its subfolders are permissioned properly (so that the website user can write to them). also confirm that you're running php 5.2.x
support CiviCRM through 'make it happen' initiatives!

File permissions set to write in that directory and subdirectories.

Still the same problem.

Thanks to dlobo.  Needed to change directory address in civicrm, admin, directories.  Host had changed servers and one part of the address is no longer needed.
