Problem in configuring Joomla Menu with CiviCRM Profile
October 03, 2007, 09:22:14 am
I have created the Joomla menu & Configure it with CiviCRM (Profile) but when we add contact through profile my joomla menus will be disappeared (on next thank you page).

I also used Banner that is link with Joomla menu & CiviCRM (Profile) which also get disappeared with next page.

I want to know how can we configure internal pages of any component with the existing Joomla menu & Banners?

Are your menus set to appear on all pages, or varied pages? Sounds more like an issue with the menu config in Joomla rather than a CiviCRM issue. Is the profile form used to actually create the Joomla user, or just collect contact info for a previously created user?

Try changing the menu setting to all instead of varied. Links from a page that is a menu item are supposed to inherit the parent page's settings, including modules (like menus) that appear on that menu page. But it sounds like that inheritance is being lost.

Change the setting for that menu item to All to see if it fixes the problem, then post back. It may still be an issue in CiviCRM, but this will at least help identify the root of the problem.

Also, what version Joomla are you using?

You need to create a menu link to the redirect or thank you page that you want so that you have an itemid. Then you can then control the modules.
