Change default 'location' for phone and emails to 'Work'

Apologies if this has already been asked or is covered in the documentation. I have done a search on the wiki and the forums but can't find any info on it.

When adding a new contact in civicrm, the new phone/email etc. fields default to the 'Home' location. Most of our contacts are business related, so to save our contact editors time, we would like to default this to 'Work'.

Is there any way to do this via the admin interface (I can't seem to find one) or will it require writing a custom form hook?

There is actually a function on the Administer menu. If you go to Option Lists/Location Types you should be able to set the default value to Work.

question on this...if you change the primary location is it supposed to apply to previously imported/designated contacts as well as the new ones added after the change? I cant seem to ever get the home email to display in the search results, even after I've designated it as primary
