Group Signup with defaults?

Hi.  So I know how to create a profile to allow anonymous users to sign up for my groups (i.e. mailing lists).

However, is there some way I can set defaults on that profile page?

So if I have groups as follows:

"Occasional Announcements"
"Program X Announcements"
"Program Y Announcements"

Right now when an anonymous user visits that profile page all three are unselected.  What if I wanted "Occasional Announcements" selected by default and the others unselected, etc.

You can set defaults using buildForm hook.
