How to set up CiviCRM fpr the Frontend of Joomla?
October 04, 2007, 04:06:57 am
Dear Forum members,

I have installed CiviCRM (civicrm-1.8.11536-joomla-php4.zip) on Joomla 1.0.13 (PHP 4.4.6).
The installation worked fine and I clicked through the menues and administration settings of the
component in the backend of Joomla. But I did not find out how I can configure the component
for the Frontend?

I tried to create a new Menu-Item in the Joomla Menu settings that referred to the component.
It worked. But then in the Frontend I tried to klick on it, it says "You do not have permission
to execute this url."

So my question is, how can I configure the CiviCRM for my Frontend, so that it shows the
menue items Individuals, Organisations, Contacts and so on.

Thanks for your help!

Sven

CiviCRM is designed to be run in the back end admin system of Joomla. You can expose profiles to the front end as described on the wiki but the main interface is not available.

Does this clarify things for you?

hi speleo, thank you for the reply.
unfortunately this makes the component useless for my purpose then.
anyways, this is a great project and I will stay in touch.

thanks again!
