Drupal + CiviCRM = Permissions?
March 15, 2010, 11:04:42 am
Hi, I've got several sites using 3.0.1 / Drupal. If I (superuser) go in and create Contribution pages, I can able to do so.
My users who have all permissions to civicrm are not able to configure these pages, or pages they create themselves.

i.e. when they're logged in, they go to visit:
http://67.225.151.152/civicrm/admin/contribute?reset=1&action=update&id=4

they get an access denied error.

thoughts?

This is a huge show stopper for me and I really could use a hand here. Where should I be looking?
What other info can I provide in this case?
I'm about to launch another system with Civi running.

Would this have anything to do with running it off an IP instead of a resolved domain name?

Other situation, it's running on a resolved domain, so that's likely not it. It's really weird. They get to the point where they can click manage contrib pages and get access denied. Even when they create it.

Is there something I can check and report back on? This is bad .. loosing jobs because of faith in something which isn't working is very uncomfortable for me. I would love to resolve this so I can go in to the next site feeling comfortable ...

thank you for any help...

1. you might want to upgrade to a more recent version 3.0.4 or better yet, 3.1.3

2. Would be good for you to go in and debug and figure out whats happening on your site and why. You can start off with CRM/Core/Invoke.php and see why that menu item is getting a permission denied. If you need more specifics, u can ping us on IRC
