Are comments allowed for CiviEvents
March 18, 2010, 08:49:04 pm
Can I allow participants to add comments to CiviEvents ?
How ?

Essentially, what I want to do is allowing participants to post their feedback or comments on the CiviEvents that they were registered for. Can I do that? How?

Thanks

best regards

You can add comment field as a custom note field and expose that in the event registration profile during registration

if you are thinking about post event registration, then you might want to do this via a profile/custom module. some custom coding will be required

Hi and thanks for your feedback but I don't think that this note field will accomplish what I want.
For example, on the blog entries you can activate the comments section were people can add their comments. This is the feature that I want for events too.

Can I do that with this field that you were talking about? I haven't tried that yet but can you confirm that?

Thanks again

cheers

Cristian

In a Drupal sense you can add comments to blogs, but that gives everyone with permission rights to add comments that all others can see. If you are wanting to let people add comments that all can see to an event they attended, then why not just create a drupal content type for 'event' and do it via that mechanism?
