Updating membership renewal specifications
March 22, 2010, 01:33:43 pm
We're currently running with CiviCrm 2.1.6 - Does anyone know how to configure your CiviCRM to send the correct source number with renewal emails - ours sends out the heading

membership no:
but doesn't follow with the clients actual number id.

Help?!

we stopped support 2.1 a long time ago and hence cannot really be of too much help here

you will need to upgrade to a more recent version, preferably 3.1.3. alternatively you can hire someone from http://civicrm.org/professional/ and get them to help debug the issue

Not sure what workflow you're using to trigger the renewal emails. However, I did a quick check on the 2.1 codebase and I don't see that 'phrase' - 'membership no:' at all - so not sure if this is some custom code or ??

If you can clarify what you mean by 'membership number' - I could tell you if the current version (3.1.3) does what you want (or how it can). We don't really have a built-in membership number that we expose to constituents (although there is a unique record ID for each member record, and a unique record ID for each contact/person in the DB). Perhaps someone added a custom field to your install to store a member number or ???
