Multi day events in the "stock" civicrm calendar view

Hi there. I can't see any way, using the out of the box view for events, to get a multi day event to display anything other than the start date of the event in the calendar. I have been able to do this creating a custom view, but was wondering if there is any easy way to do this in the stock view.

Wondering how did you do it with a custom view? Or do you mean completely custom code of your own not using Calendar?
